1-. You're one of those new artists who bet on the techno house. This is still very strong in Germany now right?

Hello! Actually I'd settle my sound more in the range between deep and funk infected housemusic. have in mind that my first releases have been coproductions with M.in. Nevertheless, I don't really like to get categorized. To me electronic music allows many ways of expression. It depends on my mood whether I do this or that. I'm not dependent on making a lot of money by producing music, therefore I'm very free and able to try whatever I want to try.
Hola! En realidad, yo me conformaría mi sonido más en el rango entre el Deep y funk infected House music. Teniendo en cuenta que mis primeros lanzamientos han sido coproducciones con M.in. Sin embargo, no me gusta caytegorizar. Para mí la música electrónica permite muchas formas de expresión. Depende de mi estado de ánimo si hago esto o aquello. Yo no soy dependiente de hacer un montón de dinero por la producción de música, por lo tanto me siento muy libre y capaz de tratar todo lo que quiero probar.
2-. We know that you are in college, doing sound technician. how Is affecting you when your sets or productions?

I'm studiing Digital Media focussed on Sound. Just finished my first semester. My Sound couldn't really profit from it yet. Right now it's an very opened field referring to media topics in general.

3-. The first records of yours that we heard were with M.in. How is your form of working in the studio?
Tus primeras referencias que esdcuchamos fueron junto a M.in . ¿como trabajais en el studio?
My way of producing music is very session-wise. I try to use my computer mouse as seldom as possible since I rather like the haptic of a controller. Morover, I record particular tracks live (and edit them later on). It generates an audible groove.
Mi forma de producir es una sesion muy sabia .Yo trato de usar el ratón de la computadora lo menos posible ya que me gusta más el contacto de un controlador. Cabe destacar que, grabo en particular temas en directo (para editarlos más tarde). Se genera un Groove audible.
4-. Percusa is a label that I really like, high quality and good music. Do you have prepared something more with them?

Yes, of course, I consider FIMO good friends and I'm looking forward to further cooperations. I used to be part of the Percusa family. There'll be some more Percusa labelnights in 2010 and I've just finished my new EP for Percusa Mention Series. In a few days I'll start working on tracks for the Percusa vinyl series.

My hometown is located somewhere in between Offenbach, Frankfurt and Darmstadt. There's a lot to experience: Robert Johnson offers the possibility of experiencing the sound of the likes of Chez Damier, Laurent Garnier and Moodymann. Freebase records is the key element of Frankfurt House music scene. I've got a good connection to a healthy regional electronic music scene.

7-. how are your production studio?

I produce at home. Whenever I feel inspired I switch on my system and have a session.
I use a computer with a sequencer-software. In addition, I've got a drumpad for individual drumprogramming, a superhot analog-synthesizer, an effectprocessor and a battalion of MIDI-controllers.
Yo produzco en casa. Cada vez que me siento inspirado me coloco en mi sistema y a tener una sesion.
Yo uso un ordenador con un secuenciador software. Además, tengo un drumpad para los distintos drumprogramming, un supercaliente sintetizador analogico, un effectprocessor y un batallón de controladores MIDI.
8-. What do you think has influenced you most when working on a new job?
¿Qué crees que te influye cuando comienzas un nuevo trabajo?
The mood I'm in. When I feel like freakin' out I'll produce a forward pushing clubtune. Concerning my musical influences: I'm addicted to Funk, Soul and selected Oldschool Hip Hop records. For example Nina Simone, Run DMC, Earth Wind & Fire but I'm into The Cure, Pink Floyd or Depeche Mode as well. I get inspired by good music a lot and when it happens I try to reinterpretate it and let these influences slip into my tracks.
El estado de ánimo que me encuentro cuando me siento como empujado hacia delante a producir una melodia de club. En cuanto a mis influencias musicales: Soy adicto al Funk, Soul y un selecto Old school Hip Hop. Por ejemplo, Nina Simone, Run DMC, Earth Wind & Fire, pero estoy en The Cure, Pink Floyd o Depeche Mode también. Me inspira en un montón de buena música y cuando sucede yo trato de reinterpretalo y dejar que estas influencias caer en mis canciones.
9-. How do you started in the electronic music?
¿como empezastes en la musica electronica?
I've been interested in electronic music since I was a kid and Kraftwerk played at German Mickey Mouse Club. During my early youth I mainly listened to selected Hip Hop and other kinds of music. When I was about 15 years old I started to listen to DJ sets I was given by friends: My interest in electronic music rose again and I wanted to be as creative as my new idols. Later I started to combine my influences and started experimenting with jazzy sounds or Funk samples and meanwhile I'm making a sound situated somewhere between Deephouse and Funk infected Techhouse.
He estado interesado en la música electrónica desde que era un niño y Kraftwerk tocaban en el alemán Mickey Mouse Club. Durante mi juventud he escuchado sobre todo a un determinado Hip Hop y otros tipos de música. Cuando tenía unos 15 años empecé a escuchar a DJ sets que hacian mis amigos: Mi interés en la música electrónica se levantó otra vez y yo quería ser tan creativo como mis nuevos ídolos. Más tarde comencé a combinar mis influencias y comenzó a experimentar con sonidos de jazz o muestras de Funk y mientras tanto me estoy haciendo un sonido a medio camino entre Deephouse y Techhouse con tintes Funk.
10-. For your sets, mixes with vinyl, CD or you laptop with live?
¿Para tus actuaciones , mezclas con vinilo, CD o ordenador con live?
I play "Vinyl Only". I love the sound of it, its roughness. I could hardly imagine putting as much passion and time into collecting MP3-files as I've been doing with vinyl for years now. If you're a student and spend 8 EUR per record you have to love the whole thing.
Puedo poner "Solo vinilo". Me encanta el sonido del mismo, su rugosidad. No podía imaginar poner tanta pasión y tiempo en recoger archivos MP3, como he estado haciendo con el vinilo desde hace años. Si eres un estudiante y pagas 8 euros por cada registro, tienes que amar todo el asunto.

12-. of all the clubs and festivals you've played, what would you highlight?
De todos los clubes y festivals donde has pinchado ¿que destacarias?
I prefer small venues! Last year I've played in Heidelberg @ Mono Club and it was really nice - there are no walls but windows and you can look at the Neckar and Heidelberg at night. Additionally, the crowd was nice. I like the sound system of the Frankfurt based club 311 - experienced very good evenings there as well.
Prefiero lugares pequeños! El año pasado pinche en Heidelberg @ Mono Club y fue muy bonito - no hay paredes, pero a traves de las ventanas se puede ver en el Neckar y Heidelberg en la noche. Además, la gente era agradable. Me gusta el sistema de sonido de la sede en Frankfurt del club 311 - muy buena experiencia la noche allí.

14-. Where you are more comfortable in the studio, in the club or a big festival?

I like to be part of the moment and therefore I love djing directly in front of the crowd. Especially when I spin my own records and everyone goes crazy I feel really comfortable.
Me gusta ser parte del momento y por lo tanto me gusta pinchar directamente en frente de la multitud. Sobre todo cuando pongo mis propios discos y todo el mundo se vuelve loco me siento muy cómodo.
15-. What is the fundamental track that could not miss in your suitcase?

Frivolous - "Sooo Savvy". The bassline and the vocal are so damn funky :) And since I've got the record I've already played it at least 1 million times.

There'll be a V.A. EP on Seoul Community containing a brandnew housey YNK track. More stuff for Percusa Records is in the making. On top of this I'll produce some songs with vocal talent Eddy Pirax, well known for his tracks on "Herz ist Trumpf" and "Micro.Fon". They'll be very special and I'm really looking forward to our sessions because working with a vocalist is new territory to me.
Habrá un Various Artists EP en Seoul Community con una pista de YNK “brandnew housey”. Más cosas para el sello Percusa están en ciernes. Además de todo esto voy a producir algunas canciones con el talento vocal Eddy Pirax, bien conocido por sus pistas de "Herz ist Trumpf" y "Micro.Fon". Van a ser muy especiales y tengo muchas ganas de nuestras sesiones de trabajo, porque con un vocalista es territorio nuevo para mí.
